The Hawaiian Monarch Tour

On this tour you will visit three of the iconic locations in Hawaii that represents key periods in the history of the Hawaiians.

First visit the Hawaiian Mission House that represents the arrival of the church and missionaries to Hawaii, followed by a walk by of Kawaiahao church with its services still done in Hawaiian and built for the Hawaiian royal family. On the church grounds you will find the mausoleum of King Lunalilo. Other royalties are buried at the Oahu cemetery in Nu’uanu valley.


A short stop at the statue of King Kamehameha the first before you cross King Street to the entrance of Iolani Palace. Hawaii has the only palace in all 50 US states. To enter the palace, you will need to go around to the entrance on the other side.


Iolani Palace contains the history of all the royal family with portraits of each king and queen to have ruled Hawaii. The palace has several rooms including a throne room and the sleeping quarters.

From Iolani Palace you will travel to the Bishop Museum which houses many of the artifacts of Hawaii and natural science as well.
