Great trip! Tons of fun and I’m still talking about it and will be for a long time to come. Below are my thoughts, please use, change or plagiarize them anyway you want. I didn’t know exactly what to expect on this trip but I expected it would different than any other trip I’d ever been on and I wasn’t disappointed. Wide open, full throttle, sun up to sun down fishing and a crew that filled the bait buckets, prepared the rods, gave expert advice on where the fish would be, cleaned your catch and always had the boats ready to go. If you’ve been to a fishing lodge before this is what may be expected but Westwind Tugboat Adventures takes the fishing lodge experience to the next level because you truly do “follow the fish” and the Tug easily takes you from one fishing area to another while you enjoy a fantastic meal, take a nap or both. The fishing skiffs the Parry towed gave you the freedom to explore and experience the fishing with few restrictions. Besides the fishing being a ton of fun the scenery was spectacular with snow caped mountains and whales blowing water as they surfaced so close to the boat you could see their tail fluke markings when they dove. A sea lion chasing salmon and the awesome power of the current as whirl pools spun tree size logs were all things I didn’t expect to see and are memories I’ll never forget. One of the best things on this trip was the people. Crew and guests all shared their passion, stories and adventures of fishing and when it was time to go it seemed like a group of old friends saying goodbye. At the end of a great vacation like this nobody likes to leave but you have to go before you can return. All the best
Our 1941 heritage wooden Tugboat, the MV Parry is lovingly maintained and beautifully appointed with comfortable two berth cabins, fireside lounge, spotless bathrooms and showers plus a busy galley serving unbelievable food and desserts.
