Experience It! Nuremberg Christmas Market

A Christmas market, also known as Christkindlesmarkt, is a street market associated with the celebration of Christmas during the
four weeks of Advent. These markets originated in Germany, Austria and the Alsace. The history of Christmas markets goes back
to the Middle Ages in the German-speaking part of Europe. The Nuremberg Christmas market, first held in 1628, is one of the
oldest Christmas markets in the world. It attracts 2 million visitors annually and has over 250 wooden stalls offering traditional
ornaments, gifts, handicrafts and fresh food. Generally held in the town square and adjacent pedestrian zones, accompanied by
traditional singing and dancing, the market sells local food, drink and seasonal items from open-air stalls.

Single accommodations are extremely limited. Triple and child accommodations are not available.

Ports of call are subject to change based on pier availability and weather conditions.

Smart casual wear is recommended throughout the trip. For the welcome and farewell dinners, a dinner dress for the ladies and jacket and tie for the gentlemen is recommended. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended throughout the trip.

Gratuities for cabin stewards, bus boys and waiters onboard the ship are not included. Coffee or tea is included at all meals. Wine, beer and soda are included with each dinner onboard the ship.

Cabins are available on lower (Hadyn), middle (Strauss) and upper (Mozart) decks. Please note that river cruises are smaller ships and only have a finite number of each cabin category available. Specific categories are available on a first come first served basis. Every effort will

be made to accommodate your cabin choice at time of reservation; however, if that cabin category is no longer available, the closest available category will be offered. Please inquire through our Client Care Center for any upgrade fees which will apply for different cabin categories. Suites are available (Amadeus Suites) on a very limited basis and are not available to guests traveling as singles.

To complete your tour, we include roundtrip airport-to-hotel transfers when purchasing our airfare with your tour. If you have arranged for your own air, we are pleased to provide you the option of purchasing these transfers. Please note that all transfers will leave at prescheduled times.

This itinerary is subject to change due to unforeseen changes in water levels, delays at the locks and other circumstances that may arise along the waterways. These changes may include items being missed during the trip; however, every effort will be made to substitute another attraction if possible.

Air passengers will arrive into Vienna, Austria airport and depart from Frankfurt, Germany airport. All transfers will depart from/return to these airports.

The cruise line reserves the right to charge a supplemental fuel charge. Should this charge be incurred, you will be notified in advance.

Please be advised many airlines do not provide advance seat assignments until check-in at the airport. Advance seating will be subject to the airline’s terms and conditions.

Embarkation on Day 2 is after 4:00 p.m.; on Day 8, disembarkation is normally at 9:00 a.m. Return flights should not be booked prior to 10:00 a.m. on the last day of your tour.

Due to tour scheduling, flights must arrive prior to 4:00 p.m.

Day 9: Würzburg, Germany – Prague, Czech Republic
This morning you say goodbye to Würzburg as you board your vehicle for a drive through the lovely European countryside. Your destination is Prague, the cultural capital of Bohemia. Upon arriving in Prague, you will be met by a local representative who will help orientate you to your hotel and the surrounding city sights.

Day 10: Prague
Your introduction to this fairy-tale city begins with a panoramic tour as you drive through the city and arrive at the amazing Hradcany Castle where you will stroll down the Golden Lane. Afterwards, enjoy your visit to the beautiful St. Vitus Cathedral as well as the lovely statue-lined Charles Bridge. Then, your local guide will introduce you to the magical Christmas markets where you may sample sausages, sip mulled wine, and shop for ornaments. Today breakfast will be included.

Visitors are required to have travel/health insurance to travel to the Czech Republic. The health insurance must cover medical services abroad. The minimum coverage of the insurance has to meet the Czech Republic standards for tourist travel. These standards can be found by contacting the Czech Republic Embassy in the US. If you have purchased our Travel Protection Plan, your coverage meets this requirement. If you opted not to purchase our travel protection, you will be required to have proof of your own coverage for the minimum insurance requirement applicable at the time of your travel to that country. We certainly encourage you to buy our comprehensive travel protection that not only covers this requirement; but also allows a full refund for cancellation any time up to the day prior to departure.

A minimum of 15 passengers is required for this extension to operate.

IMPORTANT: We recommend that our clients traveling abroad take a photocopy of their passport and applicable visas. It should be packed separately from your actual passport and visa. We also recommend leaving a copy at home with your emergency contact.

Cancellation Charges for this tour: After your seat reduction date has passed, a non-refundable deposit will be retained. For Cancellation between 60-16 days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 30% of total price. For cancellation between 15-1 days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 50% of total price. For cancellation on the day of departure and after: 100% of total price. For Ocean Cruises: For cancellation between 90-61 days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 35% of total price. For cancellation between 60-31 days prior to departure: 60% of total price. 30 or fewer days prior to departure: 100% of total price. For River Cruises: including Europe, Russia, Egypt and China, 90-61 days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 50% of total price. For cancellation between 60-31 days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 85% of total price. For cancellation 30 or fewer days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 100% of total price. For Galapagos and Antarctica: A cancellation fee of 60% will apply for cancellation between 120-90 days prior to departure; A cancellation charge of 100% will apply for cancellation less than 90 days prior to departure. Cancellation protection is highly recommended and must be purchased at time of deposit. Air rates are subject to change until tour is paid in full. If Travel Protection Plan has not been purchased and a reservation is cancelled for any reason prior to departure – Air is 100% nonrefundable once paid in full. Cancellation charges also apply to reservations made for “pre” and “post” night accommodations. Payment of a Per Person Travel Protection Plan Fee guarantees a full refund of all payments (including deposit), except the Travel Protection Plan Fee itself, made to Collette for travel arrangements in case of cancellation of your travel plans for any reason prior to the day of departure. The Travel Protection Plan Fee with Air only covers airline tickets you have purchased from Collette. Exception: If you originally purchased nonrefundable airline tickets, the Travel Protection Plan does not provide a refund for the airline tickets, taxes or fees, in the event of cancellation. This air ticket is covered by Collette’s travel protection plan under Part B, if you cancel your trip for covered reasons (see Part B for more details). The Travel Protection Plan Fee does not cover any single supplement charges which arise from an individual’s traveling companion electing to cancel for any reason prior to departure. However, the Part B travel insurance includes a single supplement benefit of $1,000 for certain covered reasons as detailed in Part B. In this case, the single supplement will be deducted from the refund of the person who cancels. Division of this charge between the two passengers involved is solely their responsibility. If insufficient funds are deducted from the canceling client, the traveling client will be charged the remaining portion of the single supplement. Cancellation waiver protects you from penalties in the event you have a need to cancel your entire inclusive tour package up to the day prior to departure. Cancellation waiver does not indemnify you from penalties if you chose to cancel partial tour components or air. If you chose to partially cancel your vacation, you will be responsible for a revision fee as well as any penalties that are incurred at the time of the cancellation. Upon cancellation of transportation or travel services where you, the customer,

Collette reserves the right to decline to accept any person as a member of the tour, or to require any participant to withdraw from the tour at any time, when such action is determined by the tour manager to be in the best interests of the health, safety, and general welfare of the tour group or of the individual participant. Collette does not accept liability for any carrier’s cancellation penalty incurred by the purchase of a non-refundable airline or other ticket to the tour departure city and return or otherwise. Baggage and personal effects are the sole responsibility of the passenger at all times. Passengers may be photographed for the promotional purposes of Collette. Payment of the deposit to Collette constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. I agree that any dispute concerning, relating, or referring to this contract, the brochure or any other literature concerning my trip, or the trip itself, shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration according to the then existing rules of the American Arbitration Association in the State of Rhode Island. Such proceedings will be governed by and in accordance with substantive Rhode Island law. The arbitrator and not any federal, state, or local court or agency shall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, conscionability, or formation of this contract, including but not limited to any claim that all or any part of this contract is void or voidable.
